Re: Starting the Semi Auto collection...
Looks really nice! Good find. I really want one but at the moment I'm poor and I was poor when they ran out. What can you do though? Still thinking the shops near my dad's house are the places to go. One always has the cool semi autos and he has reasonable prices. Or I could drop out of school, go f...

Re: Starting the Semi Auto collection...
I have looked at those VEPRs as well but I want something that has either been used during a conflict or is a weapon type that has been used during a war.
Are Kahr Arms M1 Carbines nice? Specifically the paratrooper model.

Re: Starting the Semi Auto collection...
Thanks again JYD. I will see if I can try to put together a rifle like that. That seems really cool and very unique!!! If I can find a really nice surplus one I'll do that. If not, the M1A will be my second choice.
So Century Arms make nice guns but not as nice or cool as actual AKs?

Re: Starting the Semi Auto collection...
Thank JYD!!! How far are you from the border? You could always move to VT and live a better life. I'm going to go poor with the guns I want to buy. Do you like that type of M14 more than an M1A?

Re: Starting the Semi Auto collection...
Thanks for the info websterz!! I have been trying to find one to look at for a few weeks now. What you said was the info I wanted to find out so thank you very much. I wasn't sure if they had the chrome barrel or not. Next time I go to the store I'll see if he has any and I'll check them out but oth...

Re: Starting the Semi Auto collection...
I'm glad I don't live in either. I use to want to live in New York but you know. Same with California. Like I said earlier, I found a place selling Yugo SKSs which comes with an accesory kit. I really like the look of this SKS as well as the Soviet SKS. Do you guys recommend one over the other or ar...

Re: Starting the Semi Auto collection...
The Underfolder was not that bad actually. I had gotten my shoulder warmed up before I shit it with some cowboy action, some AR shooting, an MP40, Thompson, the AK and finished it off with an FAL, RPD and a Grease Gun. Living in East Bum F*ck Vermont(Addison), there aren't many places to find an SVT...

Re: Starting the Semi Auto collection...
An SKS would be a good option now that you bring it up. My dad had an SKS and still has a ton of ammo left over. Probably close to 1,000 rounds. I love the AK series because of how reliable and efficient/ effective they are. I really like under/ side folders. The first AK I got was an Underfolder. T...

Starting the Semi Auto collection...
Hey guys, Now that I am hooked into Russian/ Russian style and foreign weapons I need a semi auto. I know Saiga shotguns and rifles aren't being imported or they weren't last I checked. So the fact that they aren't imported at the moment and they may eventually never come back, should I buy one? I a...

Re: 1929 Izhevsk Hex Receiver
Not exactly sure. I'm extremely new to the Mosin Nagant life. What I know about it is what the title says. I know that it's a 91/30 but that's about it.

1929 Izhevsk Hex Receiver
Hey guys, I decided to jump on Gander Mountains Mosin deal. This was the second and final rifle I looked at(out of four). It is in really nice condition with matching serial numbers(so far). I haven't shot it yet. I will post up pics as soon as I figure out how to do that so you guys can see it, hel...

Hey guys,
As of 11:45 today I became the owner of a 1929 M1891/30 Mosin Nagant with a hex receiver. I have been researching Mosin's for the past few months and referenced this forum many times. Really hoping to learn the specifics behind the Mosin Nagant, specifically mine. Glad I found you guys.
