I messed up part of my recent purchase being careless with brake cleaner while scrubbing out the chamber. Now I have some light tan areas where most of the stock has a nice reddish brown look. What is the coating that I see? Can I reproduce it on the problem areas? Thanks!

Can it do both or not? What is proper and acceptable? Many weapons do not suggest the snap on technique!

Is the brass rim suppose to rise up under the extractor as the bolt moves forward, or does it snap over the rim when the round is in the chamber? Thanks!
