I would take it out and shoot it a little first, my 1928 Izhevsk was hitting a propane tank at 160meters with just the iron sights, having not adjusted anything.

Thanks all for the info. I did as instructed with the boiling water and what-not, cleaned it out, and oiled everything up once I was finished and its not tucked away safely. :alien: Nice gun. I don't know where you live but i used to store a few guns in the bags too, i found this promotes rust more than anything. I leave my guns in the safe now out of the gun bags. If there is any moisture at all it will stay there while in the bag. And make sure and oil em up. :vcool:...

Thanks guys. Ill see what I can do over the weekend. I wasn't sure what to think because it keeps coming back when I check it every couple days now. Ill stick a dry patch through and it will come out looking like those other ones. She's a WONDERFUL shooter and I just don't wanna lose what I ha e.

Did you use water or a water based cleaner? Water is the needed to remove the salts that comes from the corrosive ammo. That looks like rust on those patches.
