Re: 1953 Romanian M44
You really had me with the $1200 for a second. I know it's nothing "rare", but it's no '45 Russian either... So say start at $350-$400?

1953 Romanian M44
I'm looking to get a value on my '53 Romanian M44. All numbers match other than the bolt and butt plate, also, the bolt is 100% Hungarian stamped. Thinking about selling her, but need a good starting price. Thanks in advance.

Bulgarian sleeved magazine?
Anyone have any info on these? I was told it was a Bulgarian "sleeved" magazine, but I can't find much info. What I have found out is that it's an RPK magazine, that was originally a 30 rounder and added to. Are these hard to find, valuable, etc??

Re: Remington-Peters...
Good to know. Didn't know if it was an older name and they had just dropped the Peters... Either way I'll probably just hang on to it for a while. Thanks for the information though.

Re: Remington-Peters...
No, no box. Just 120 rounds of SP/FMJ on stripper clips. So this is still being manufactured? And if so, I'm guessing it's priced about the same as any other brass cased 7.62...

Remington-Peters...
I recently received some Remington-Peters in 7.62x39 in a trade and was wondering if anyone had any info on it. Possibly the date of manufacture, value, etc... Thanks in advance.

Ishapore Enfield 2a1 help...
Does anyone happen to know where I might be able to find an upper hand guard for an Ishapore Enfield? I have a friend who needs one to complete a restoration job... Any leads are greatly appreciated.

Maadi question...
Not sure if this has been asked before, but I have an Egyptian Maadi and I want to install a brake. The barrel has been turned down, anyone happen to know the thread pattern? Or should I invest in a micrometer?

Re: Is it Advisable to Exchange Parts on Rifles?
I completely agree about Dunham's. I ask this because I purchased a '47 M44 a couple of days ago, and every part is Izhevsk. Bolt, rear sight, butt plate, both barrel bands, cleaning rod, bayonet, bayonet lug, etc... Numbers don't match, and it's packed full of cosmoline. What are your thoughts on t...

mogunner, are you talking about pre/wartime rifles specifically? Or are you referring to post war as well?

First Carbine!!
Bought my first MN about a year ago, and have yet to add a carbine to the group. Hadn't left the house in two days due to inclement weather and I started to get a little antsy. So I did my usual rounds of the local pawn shops today, and there she was... 1947 Izhevsk M44
