Re: Vz2008 with a little package twist, updated!
The only mod the VZ2008s need for complete reliability it to have the bolt carrier tabbed, which costs about $50. The VZ58s from CZ and CzechPoint already had theirs tabbed from the factory, the VZ2008s do not.

Re: Czech one off my list
The VZ58 and the American version the VZ2008 are really interesting rifles. After shooting my D-Teknic VZ58 I prefer it to any AK variant. It's a better design IMO with it's short stroke piston and being striker fired. Those of us who own one really like them.

Re: Colt Peacmaker .22 LR
Colt Peacemaker Scouts are my favorite of the Scout series and I have a couple with both cylinders. These cylinders have to be fitted usually to insure proper function. I believe all Peacemaker Scouts have the larger .224 barrels so if you do find a Magnum cylinder you should be able to have a gunsm...

Re: Polish M-44
Nice YouTube video, there is a lot of great stuff there. I wish I would have bought several of these in the 90s when they first showed up at bargain basement prices, but at the time I was buying K98s in droves. The thing that drives me nuts with current imports are the billboard import stamps most h...

Re: Dunhams thanksgiving sale?
My local Dunhams has several Mosin Nagants. I went there a week ago to look at some and because of store policy they all have trigger locks installed. I asked the clerk if he could remove the lock so I could remove the bolt to inspect the bore, he would not. I asked to speak to the manager explainin...

Re: Polish M-44
I believe this M-44 was unfired since leaving the factory because of the following. When firing jacketed military ammunition it's nearly impossible to remove all the copper fouling. Even days after cleaning a rifle if you swab the bore with a product like Hoppes No9, let it sit then run a dry patch ...

Polish M-44
This is my first post on this forum and I look forward to participating. This afternoon I received a mint unfired Polish M-44 made at Radom arsenal in 1955. I've been collecting military firearms for over 50 years and this is the nicest MN I've ever come across. Tried to upload a photo but it failed...
