First Nagant Revolver
I'm picking up my first Nagant revolver in the morning... a Tula 1944 in excellent condition... asking price is $159 which includes the holster and rod... this seems like a pretty good deal today (I know they were a lot cheaper a couple of years ago)... what do you guys think?

Spam can prices
Is $119 too much to pay for Soviet era spam can of 7.62 x 54? Bought one today... seems like I paid $88 for a spam can around Thanksgiving.

Cylinder Lock Screw for Taurus Model 66 Revolver
I have an older Taurus Model 66 357 Magnum... the cylinder lock screw got lost so now I have a freely spinning cylinder (not good). Taurus doesn't recognize the serial number (older) so they won't repair it. Does any one have a source for stuff like this... have tried all the big outfits with no luck.

What do you guys carry to gun shops and shows?
Do you carry a bore light and headspace gauge? I usually do but don't find my main local gun store very eager to cut the cable tie on the bolt so I can examine the bore and bolt. What are your experiences along that line?

Good Deal or Not... 1917 Remington
Local gun shop has a 1917 dated Remington with all mismatched numbers and mild to moderate pitting. It has some Russian markings as well including the imperial arms so probably placed into service in Russian army prior to their surrender in 1917. The asking price is $279... seems high to me but what...

Looking for decent butt pads for T-53 & 91/30
Hey guys... I'm looking for a decent rubber butt pad for a T-53 and 91/30 (are these interchangeable?). I've seen some on Amazon but the reviews say they're too hard to effectively reduce the recoil. Any suggestions?? Happy New Year!!

Two questions from a relative newbie...
1.) What is the maximum time you would soak barrel and other parts in mineral spirits for cleaning cosmoline?
2.) Is there a problem in using a heart gun on the wood stock for bleeding out the cosmoline?

Re: Ok food for thought
I use mineral spirits followed by carb cleaner followed by Hobbs #9. I built a PVC pipe closed at both ends filled with mineral spirits...oak the barrel in it overnight and then used carb cleaner followed by Hobbs #9... seems to work for me. I soak the small parts in mineral spirits followed by carb...
