Re: YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID
Very sad. I had an accident with a handgun, but my stupidity was nowhere near that this incident seems to have been spawned from.

Re: 1944 Husqvarna M38, a rare Swede.
Bought a 1944 M38 for $150 a few years ago from a guy at my local gun show because he wanted his money back when he bought it in 1998. Sold it to friend for $350 thirty minutes later because I didn't know what I had. What a dummy I was.
Very nice guns!!!

Re: Nagant Revolver?
Starting with the ones we all know... on the bottom: one on the left is a 1945 Izhevsk, last year of production. The one on the right is a 1919 Tula. No Imperial or Soviet stamps (except for the refurbishment box). That one was made during the Civil War years when no one knew who would rule the Rodi...

Wow, what happened to that Model 81?!?
Occurrences like that make me leery of smiths.

Nice Mosin collection. I would have one just like it if it wasn't for all the other guns calling my name.

Re: K98 Mauser
For the most part, the Yugoslavs sanitized the German markings off of them, so you cannot tell what make most of these captured Yugo K98s are. 1937 BSW or 44 BNZ? Can't tell because they were scrubbed, force-matched with new numbers and re-arsenaled.

Re: Interesting Remington Model 81
The original Model 8s and 81s had a fixed, 5-round magazine. Mine is a Krieger Conversion done by Krieger & Sons in Michigan. They had the most successful detachable magazine design and finding one of these rifles is pretty hard. I was amazed when I saw it. The only other major conversion was th...

Interesting Remington Model 81
.35 Remington Woodmaster takedown. With.... a Krieger magazine conversion! If any of you collect Remingtons, you know these are pretty uncommon. Lousy lighting with the pictures, so they are a little fuzzy. http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s675/JockoBeans/IMAG0435_zpsf3gaie1t.jpg http://i1311.pho...

M35 for my M27
Finally located a nice bayonet for my Tikka M27. I do believe that it is a M35 by Fiskars. Amazing what can be found at a seemingly dead and boring gun show. http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s675/JockoBeans/IMAG0431_zpsmkdetwca.jpg http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s675/JockoBeans/IMAG0427_zpsv...

Re: 1943 bnz K98k with Rune
It's a fake SS-rune, should be right in the middle between Maker code and year. Seems to be forced made to match I have many k98 and a few with SS rune but none with the SS rune like this. Also the front band number looks strange One of the main posters had a few runed K98's and one of his had the ...
