Re: I See why Burns didn't sell everything to Classic
Burns went from you couldn't say anything bad about them, to nothing good was said about them on gunboards. Yet when Classic's first batch of M39s were complete garbage Classic was defended to the end, which usually was when a member was banned and the thread was closed or closed and deleted. Funny...

Re: Stale popcorn . . . Part III Starts this Monday
This had nothing to do with the rifles and their cost, per se. This is about a carnival side show spectacle staged by a bunch of clowns. I think this was handled in a way that showed callous disrespect for these weapons, their history, and the soldiers who carried them in battle. I have my rifles, ...

Group West PU
Just picked up my new sniper. It's in a laminate stock with a wrist crossbolt, refurb mark on stock. Its a 44 Iz that seems to have a matching bolt and mag floor plate. Butt plate is force match. The scope is clear and the bore is sharp, so my two main hopes for this buy have been achieved. More to ...

Looks like a professional paint job by bubba. The rifle itself looks to be just fine.

Have both. If I had to choose one, it would be the SKS. No comparison on the build quality.

Another "new" SKS
So I went to buy my first Russian SKS last week. The pictures the seller had were dark and other than seeing that the gun was all there, I couldn't tell too much from them. Russian's don't seem to turn up in my area all that often, so I took a chance and made the drive to check this one out. Imagine...

A Limbsaver in small should did the trick. I have one on my M44.

Re: got my first mosin and nervous about safety
Go ahead and pick up a set of headspace guages. They will give you some peace of mind. They also help you rationalize the purchase of more Mosins to use them on!

Re: Are these PU snipers real
There is absolutely nothing wrong with questioning, especially given the lack of any answers from Molot. The problem I see here from time to time is that opinions (and that is all any of us have, as no one has facts) are being presented as fact. I don't know what Molot does to their rifles, and no o...

Re: M38 and M44 Carbines
The short answer is no one really knows. There are lots of opinions on this issue, but little in the way of actual facts.

If you plan to shoot them much, I suggest picking up a Limbsaver slip on butt pad. Your shoulder will thank you!

Re: M44
As it happens, I have a Molot M44 that is a '44 Tula. If you want a cool shooter, I say go for it. As a collectable, its kind of unknown territory at this point, as what, if anything, Molot does to the guns they are shipping is unknown. I will say that no one would look at my M44 and accuse it of be...

I would be all over it at $150. Going for $300 and up locally.

Hi guys. Great forums, I have learned a great deal reading here. I have the beginnings of a mosin problem with a 91/30 and an M44. Pics to follow.
