I an looking into getting a 1895 Tula Nagant service pistol and I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight. I heard ammo is hard to come buy and it isn't cheap. Does anyone have any suggestions or links that could help out with buying ammo?

I just did the boiling water treatment and will do the solvent treatment soon. So far it doesnt look like there is any noticeable damage. Then again I dont really know what to look for. I better hope it wasn't corrosive then. I asked them for a certain kind and I thought that is what I got. If not, I now have a nice mantle piece and nothing more.

Ok got a very important question. What is the max time you can go without cleaning without corossive ammo? I shot today and I am not sure if my rounds are corossive or not.

Yeah I bet you did kind of get taste of what it is like. I know thst everytime I hold my gun. I try to picture the owner of gun before battle or waiting for the fighting to start. It is cool to think about and kind of eery at the same time.

Yeah don't think I would get away with that here lol. I kind of live in a run down area and cops are always patroling through there. Plus I am in a high traffic area lol.

I may be completely stupid for saying this and it may not even be possible, but I was wondering if it is possible to reload 7.62X54R ammo? If so, what would be the recommended kit for it?

Ex-sniper or not... I am still really happy with it and to know more about it is really why I got it. And to think the reason I got this one is because it was the oldest one that was on display. I wonder what else he has. He said he had a lot in the back.
