Re: SVT40 Sniper

I'd be hard pressed to bid that kind of horsepower on a weapon that I did not have a hands on examination of. There are way to many doctored up weapons out there, especially snipers. Be careful.....

Re: Springfield M1-C Sniper Rifle

I'll agree with Mike. You can't go wrong with CMP. The prices are honest prices, and the rifles are what they are, not doctored up. As far as Beretta parts go, the Europeans and Israelis did refurb some using Beretta parts, and Beretta made a first rate Garand. I wish there were more in this country...

Re: PU sniper rifle deer hunting

I decided to take my PU sniper rifle hunting this year. One shot one button buck done hunting in 10 minutes. It was a classic shot the button buck turned slightly sideways so I had a great shot from the left chest through the neck. He didn't go anywhere. Wolf 203 grain is great! http://img39.images...

Re: New England 12 gauge Pardner single shot

The rifles built on that frame are first rate accuracy wise. H&R made outstanding Garands back in the day, and the single shot shotguns are legendary. For what they are, they carry great in the field, don't weigh much and point like a dream! Plus it's hard to beat the price!

2 of the greatest shotguns ever made, a Win. Model 12 and a Humpback Browning. You can't wear either one out!

Re: Type 38 carbine

My dad brought back a Type 99 from the war from Okinawa, and I've one upstairs that came from the Philippines. Outstanding bolt action that is overlooked by alot of guys. I remember the Type 38s being hacked up and converted to 257 Roberts when I was a kid. Now I'd love to find one and bring it back...

Re: Winchester 1895

I don't blame you on passing. It would probably make a nice shooter, but it looks like a mixmaster to me. The missing parts are waaaaaaay too expensive to try to put it back together.

Love that stock too! As far as the 7x57 goes, it is getting hard to find, but it's worth the effort....I am hard pressed to think of a finer round.
