Help me identify all the mosins

I know a majority of the ones on here but a few of the carbines I'm unsure of. http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j431/93FORDBRONCO/36ECEE35-1DB2-49ED-974B-200F4749EFFF-3471-000006917331C8FB.jpg I know the top one is a Finn. M91, the next one I'm pretty sure is a dragoon mosin? Not sure about that....

Re: Picture of my 91/30

If your on a PC I can't help u. On account of the fact that I haven't used one in years. If your on a smartphone you need to get the photobucket app and you can copy and paste the image code. Now that I think about it. If you have a Facebook or a MySpace from back in the day. You can upload the pict...

Re: NATO 7.62 with a mosin?

No intention of offending the original OP, but everytime I see questions like this, I have to say Please Read Some Books. Many misconceptions and half truths and out right lies abound reguarding ammunition caliber interchangeability. Start reading some reloading manuals, Handloader or Rifle magazin...

Re: NATO 7.62 with a mosin?

Ohh. Ok. I thought it was just a different type of measurement. Like inches and centimeters. So if 308 is the diameter if the NATO round and 311 is the Russian round. What does the 7.62 stand for. I always assumed it was the diameter of the round.

Wow! Great looking rifles. I think I like the lighter colored one more but they are both reallly nice. Love carbine mosins. And you got a free one. What an awesome deal. Wish that happened to me haha

Re: NATO 7.62 with a mosin?

Isn't a 308 the same as a 7.62. And isn't a 7.62 NATO the same as a 7.62x54r?

NATO 7.62 with a mosin?

It seems to me that the only reason the mosin couldn't fire a standard NATO 7.62 is because it wouldn't eject the round since it doesn't have a rimmed cartridge. My question is, would it be possible to adapt the mosin for a rimless round? Maybe just by tinkering with the little hook that grabs the r...

Re: Shooting low?

It's sounds like you just assumed because you read that so many shoot high your's would too and you "fixed" it before you knew if it needed to be fixed. Remove the shrink tube and start over. It's always a good idea to see how a rifle performs before you start tinkering with it. That's ex...

Well as I said I think it's because I had the shrink tube on the front sight.

Shooting low?

When I went to the range last time I noticed I had to aim high on my target because my mosin was shooting low. Well here's the thing. Before I went to the range I had done some research and learned that it was very common for mosins to shoot high at 100 yard. I learned of the simple shrink tube tric...

Grease or oil?

Would you guys recommend using grease or oil on the outside of your bolt and the inside of your receiver. Right now I have been using oil but I would think some type of grease would be better.
