Go to "Wideners.com". I saw some really good 8 mm Mauser ammo there today for $9 for 15 rounds.

Hold a sharp nail against the primer and hit the nail with a hammer. It will clear the chamber and your sinuses at the same time.

Re: Mosin from AIM - 1944 model - what is it?

This isn't a new rifle you just bought and can shoot it right out of the box. The first thing you should do is get on YouTube and find a video that tells you how to totally strip the rifle down and clean the cosmoline off it, inside and out. If you do not do this you will probably have to use a hamm...

Re: Heads Up !!! Buds Has M44 & M38

Hey Guys Too low on cash rite now to hopp on the M38, but some of you might want to know. M44 $249, M38 $279, free ship. Who knows if they are Molot ??? Jim Those are "cash" prices. Retail price (credit card users) is M44 $256.47 and M38 $287.37. Don't know how much you save with free shi...

Re: What is the verdict on Classic's M38's

To me the key would be looking at the barrels, on the Ukraine refurbs the barrels had some of the pitting ground away before they were reblued, especially in areas under the handguards. Now if the Molots do not have any evidence of this, then we have a problem. For what it's worth my two Molot M38'...

Re: Best Mosin to use on a Drone

For the life of me, I can't figure out why the Attorney General would make public statements like that, which are bound to piss off the citizenry. Even the die hard ibs and Obama fan site denizens can't be happy about Holder's remarks. What's his point? The "die hard libs" and "Obama...

Re: What is the verdict on Classic's M38's

Let me through another onion into the stew. I took apart my 1944 M38 (Classic) to see what I could see. The only import stamps are one under the barrel just behind the front sight (IO Inc. Monroe NC.) and the Molot stamp on the receiver. All parts show no wear other than some "handling" m...

Re: What is the verdict on Classic's M38's

I got the two M38's from Classic today. After a quick look at them, I am satisfied as to their condition being as good as was advertised. One is a 44' Izhevsk M38 with a M44 stock. It has some very noticeable dings just in front of the butt plate. All the metal is in excellent condition, just like n...

I know that. I wanted to know what "redeuce" thought about the quality and authenticity of these ATI $549 snipers compared to the $800 R-gun snipers since he seemed to be sniping at the lower priced items.

Re: Classic has M38s

There is no gray area in this argument. There is no compromise. There are only 2 possibilities- There is one group of Mosin enthusiasts that believe out of nowhere, a whole cache of previously unknown, impeccably refurbished M44's, M38's, Snipers, and who knows what else was sitting in surplus stor...

Re: Since it's the end of the world!

I thought it might be the end last night about 21:00. Wind was blowing about 35 mph and it was raining hard. lights flickered a dozen times and then went out. My first thought was "Damn Mayans can't get it right. They're 3 hours early". Power came back on at about 00:45. Problem was a tree...

Re: vet bring back russian m44??????

i was in the gun shop today and saw a Russian m44 dated 1944. the stock was duffel cut just below the rear barrel band. the bayo was removed and of course no import marks. there was a large K stamped on the receiver. does anyone know what the K is i can not find it anywhere? I think the "K&quo...

I think you're right about the sling. I haven't seen one like that associated with MN's. Maybe ATI didn't have a correct one and just grabbed one out of a box somewhere.
