Re: AIM HAS 91/30 SHOOTERS
They have them in stock at fleet farms in SE Wisconsin - 130 - but you can pick the one you want. They also have some ragged Chinese m44s.

Re: lee classic loader
Either the cases are work hardened, the crimp is to tight or you annealed the brass and left it too soft. My guess would be the brass being work hardened. Is it once-fired brass? What headstamp?

Re: Cap n' Ball Revolver Questions
I shoot my 1851 Uberti London a lot. I think I get about 350 or so rounds out of a 1lb can of Goex 3f. I make my own felt wads and generally load 22 grains over cast bullets I bought from masscaster over at the castboolits forum. I think i paid about 6 per 100 plus flat rate shipping. His bullets fi...

Re: Project pistol I just picked up
Yep - restore it and shoot it - total deal for the money. Heck an extra cylinder would cost at least 50 bucks. Post up pics when you get it done - would like to see the "after"

Re: Project pistol I just picked up
Buying it as a kit seems better than putting it in used cat litter to "patina" it.
I wasn't aware these were sold as kits - but I was a small child in the 70s. Very cool.

Re: Project pistol I just picked up
I have an uberti navy London in 36 cal. They are super fun to shoot. As mentioned above it looks as if a reenactor has removed bluing - it is pretty common. Dixie gun works will have all the parts - they are super easy to work on. I made felt wads for mine and purchased round balls from a guy over a...

Re: Mosin Saftey Add On
I hunt with my Mosin and though not the strongest guy I use the safety - gloves do make it easier. Surprisingly it is quieter than the safety on my m96 Mauser. I personally wouldn't spend the money on any of the add-on safeties.

Re: 7.62x54 Corrosive Vs. Non-corossive Ammo
I used to shoot corrosive - I don't any longer. I like my reloads more and the brass never sticks in the bore. When I shot corrosive I always ran a bore snake through the gun when I was done - then would clean when I got home.

Re: Looking to buy first Mosin Nagant. Need input.
Are you located somewhere that would have a sporting goods store that sell Mosin's? If so, that would be your best bet. Here in WI I was able to go to Fleet Farm and choose from 5-6 of them. I ended up with a 1929 Tula with hex receiver.
