Wartime commercial C96 (I think)
Tripped over a "New" gun today unexpectedly. Probably paid to much for it but I wanted it so I got it. Guy handed me a C96 that someone down the line had particularized. He said it was a postwar non matching parts gun and some story about his dad picking it up someplace in the 70s. He want...

Re: Reloading for a shot out bore.
I have a few guns i keep around just because i like them but for the most part i don't keep guns that I'm not going to shoot. I'm a collector but not to that extent. Half the fun for me is getting old guns to shoot and reloading for them. The issue with this gun is that i know that no one is going t...

Reloading for a shot out bore.
Thought someone here might be able to help. I have a yugo reworked 98 Mauser. I like old 98s but every one I come across has a shot out berral. The one I have is the same way. Great looking gun but it key holes at 100 yards. No pitting just rounded worn out rifling. I'd like to be able to shoot it. ...

Dueling: Weapons and history.
I did a video discussing Dueling and the different black powder firearms used. Thought it might interest people here. In case you were interested in the firearms i used in the video. 1.)French Heavy Dragoon- .54 caliber round ball with tow over & under ball wadding and 30 grains of FFF Goex. 2.)...

Re: M1895 History, reloading and misconceptions.
I wish I would have picked up one of those spam cans. I've seen dealers in my aria selling the packs out of them for like $4-$5 a pop. The stuff is wicked corrosive though.

M1895 History, reloading and misconceptions.

WZ-48 .22LR Military Trainer
I had seen these rifles around at gun shows and listed online but I never got around to picking one up. I have so many .22 rifles it's hard for me to justify buying another one. Yet somehow I always end up with another one like an addict that can't kick the habit. So now i have a WZ-48. The first th...

Re: Lebel Model 1886 rifle
Gorilla glue would have fixed that without the gray line, it's what it's made for. I probably would have used Garila glue but i needed to build it up a bit at the top to make up for a chunk that was missing. The busted piece was a bit sharp and if you move your hand down the rifle it would catch. J...

Re: Lebel Model 1886 rifle
Sharpie, a bad crack were? I use JB weld for metal, is there a receiver crack someplace?? If there is then wall hanger it, life has enough risk, no need to deliberately seek out more by shooting a weapon with receiver cracks. Thanks for the info but JB weld works great on wood as well. It was just ...

Re: Lebel Model 1886 rifle
I saw those and they went fast. I thought about ordering the 250 ones but found one today at a gunshow. Have been wanting a k98 for along time Believe it or not this one is my first K98. I've owned 5 91/30's, A krag rifle, Carcano, An arisaka type 99 (Guess that is kind of a mauser) and even a Spri...

Re: Lebel Model 1886 rifle
I cant afford the high grade stuff either. I love the lebel also and have been on the hunt for one I can afford. I have seen them go for slight issues just the other day for 250 ish. And others for 300. Before that they were all in the 600 range. I think you can find them in the 250-500 range if yo...

Re: Lebel Model 1886 rifle
Condition on the m1886? The price seems to have dropped recently if you go by GB. Is it a 86/93 and is it N marked and does it have all matching numbers? For a run of the mill I have seen 2 go for 400 and UNDER just last month on gb. Matching numbers I would say 600+ I just picked up a non matching...

Lebel Model 1886 rifle
Hello quick question. I'm on my way to collecting all the common WW2 and some ww1 but the next one on my list is one i have liked since the fist time i got to play with one. It's a Lebel Model 1886 rifle and I do not know much in the way of pricing for these guns. It seems like prices are all over t...

Smith Sights for the Mosin-Nagant rifle
I haven't posted here for a while but i haven't been messing around with my Mosan-Nagant rifles for a bit. however i did end up getting a smith sights front sight for my M44 and i wanted to give my opinion of them. I’ve had my M44 for a while now but hardly ever took it out to the range. I liked the...

Nagant Revolver M1895 with Russian Surplus Ammo
I always liked this little revolver but i was never impressed with the new production ammo made by prvi. It seemed like very light target loads to me and were not the best in terms of accuracy. I was of the opinion that this revolver was not made to be very accurate because of that ammo. I think a l...

h&r 1871 buffalo classic question
Need some advice on my latest purchase. I've wanted a .45-70 or better yet a .45-90 sharps for a very long time now but the $1300 price tag is not going to be in the budget any time soon. I did however find out about the H&R 1871 buffalo classic this week. I had never run across one of them befo...

Suomi KP(M-31) SMG in 9mm
Got to shoot this firearm today for the first time. We have had it in the shop for quite a long time but i never got around to it. Finally i decided to do a video on it and it's history today since we were going to be out shooting video for the businesses anyway. So i grabbed it off the shelf and th...
