M28/30 Opinions
I recently acquired this M28/30 and externally its a in very good to excellent condition. 90%+ bluing, numbers matching on bolt, reciver, and buttplate. Best Finnish trigger I have ever felt to date. I'm having a hard time with it because the bore is in good-fair condtion. There's still rifling, but...

Did you purchase this directly from Samco? I"ve been interested in getting one of these.

Re: Limited Mosin PU Snipers for $450
I'm happy with my purchase also. Thankfully, I did not find anything that would justify a return. Excellent mirror bore, overall very good condition, clear optic There's a few stock markings (3rd and 4th pics) that I haven't seen on my past Mosins. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r96/ckcadavona/M...

Re: Delivery from Pat Burns...
I received this 1968 No Make M39 from Pat Burns today. Contrary to what most people have said about Pat Burns M39's, it was not as described. Along with the crack pictured on the left side of the stock there is also a 4+ inch hairline crack on the handguard. Both of which were not in the description...

Samco Rebuild
I'm thinking about rebuilding a Samco Sniper. Should I request a rifle with "4 holes" or "2 holes/2 pins"? I found a vendor with scopes and mounts without bases for $160-200. I've only found one source for aftermarket bases that are $80. So best case, I can make a fake sniper wit...

Re: Scarce M44 Questions
Thank you for your replies. I would've never known about the Hun stock if I didn't post this. I assumed it was Romanian since the stock is stamped numbers matching to the rifle. The T53 is part of a batch I recently got from Century. I'm not sure why the numbers may have been tampered with on the T5...

Scarce M44 Questions
I don't get on this forum enough but I'm hoping to get some credible advice here as I've done so in the past. I have 2 rifles that I would appreciate your opinion on. Matching 1953 Romanian M44: This rifle has sentimental value so I plan on keeping it forever. As you can see there's a very serious s...

Re: range report type 56 plus a short video
Thanks for posting that 25yd target. I've never seen it before and it should help me improve groups once I get my sight tool also. The following is a 50 shot group of what I've been getting at 100 yards with my Chinese SKS. 155gr Lee Cast Boolit GC'd, 26.5gr IMR4895, reloaded Yugo cases, CCI SR prim...

Re: Another S.O.G. M39, now with pictures
@ The End... That's funny you mention the wife. Mine asked me yesterday as she was coming home from the mall, "Is that a new rifle?" "Umm, well yeh I got it on a trade" while I'm thinking in my head, "A future trade that I am planning at the moment." I wasn't expecting ...

Re: Another S.O.G. M39, now with pictures
I admit I'm not the best shot but in my defense I'm still getting use to the Finn and I was shooting more for load testing and trying out my new chrony. :vcool: The ammo is Prvi brass, CCI L.R. primers, IMR 3031 , Speer 2217 150gr. OAL 2.950 49.4gr. (center and 1st shot very low flyer walking her on...

Re: Another S.O.G. M39, now with pictures
I didn't see a reason to start a new thread so here's my M39 I received yesterday from SOG. I selected hand pick and requested matching but that didn't happen. Does the 1894 date on the tang make this rifle an antique? I'm happy with the overall condition of the rifle. I was upset about the mismatch...
