I bought the rifle at a pawn shop, so I don`t know who the previous owner was. But I sure wouldn`t mind knowing why or what they were thinking when they varnished the metal.

Re: FN Modelo 1935 Peruvian Mauser
It was rebarreled in 30-06 which was common for a lot of these rifles, so the bore looks like new.CalFed wrote:Nice job!
How does the bore look?

Steyr M95
I picked up this steyr a little over a week ago. The previous owner had refinished the stock with varnish, and also thought it was a good idea to varnish all of the metal parts as well, everything was varnished. He did a good job on the stock so I left it as is, but I removed the varnish from all of...

My High Standard Riot Shotgun.
I found this shotgun at a pawn shop. Its a High Standard Riot 18-7 Model K-1200. These shotguns were made from the mid 60`s to the mid 70`s, and I think the shotgun I have was made in 1973, because there is what appears to be a proof mark on the barrel with 73 stamped next to it. http://i810.photobu...

Re: Yay for bruised shoulders!
I love to shoot my M44`s, and M38, I actually think the M38 has a little more kick than the M44`s, but there all fun to shoot. Many times ive come home with a sore shoulder, but its worth it.
