Re: Fresh out of the woodwork 1915 m91

Does not look like a walnut stock to me. I think Chatellerault would have been out of the picture as far as M91's go by 1915....they ceased production in the 1890's

Re: Mosin Nagant pricing: Interesting read

People like to look at gunbroker/online auctions for pricing but that can be a weird market. I see alot of refurb 91/30's at local gunshows for 400ish and they aren't moving....especially now, I think it's slowed down a bit with current inflation concerns, etc. I've had a really nice "rare"...

Re: WTB Finnish M91 Handguard

Got ya, those are the pages from 762x54r.net website aren't they? That page certainly is a great source although some information is out dated of course I've researched this particular subject before and never found any pictures or even discussion on a 1944 dated M91 3-line rifle. Anyway, nothing is...

Re: WTB Finnish M91 Handguard

I have a Finnish M91 handguard for sale, although m91s weren't made in 1944. Are you sure you're not looking for a 91/30 style handguard? The Finns made them that late. Sources, pics, etc? Just wondering, main reason I have a '43 Tikka m91 is due to it being last year of m91 production *(yes I know...

Re: Sestroryetsk On My Mind

That NEW is pretty cool, always nice to get the original dog collars too. A handguard will run 100+ if you can find one, although you might get lucky at a gun show or something. The Sestroryetsk wasn't a bad deal, a little high with it being one of the more commonly found years and having a poor bor...

That stock is correct and has not been sanded. You should not alter it in any way.

Re: 1897 info

Alot of Finnish rifles have older recycled parts with pitting like that, more likely cleaned up by the Finnish armory that assembled the rifle.

Re: Empty Mosin Nagant crates

They will sell quicker at 100 or less, maybe 150 if in perfect condition? I'm basing this off recently posted higher priced crates that no one bought and what people actually pay.

Re: All matching SA marked Swede m96

That's a beautiful rifle, I really want one for my Finnish collection. I've owned a couple M96's and they were great rifles but I need that SA mark haha. You may need to add an Italian SA marked rifle at some point to complete a Finn collection. SA marked 96, nice, something I have never seen for s...

Re: One of a kind...

There may also be less interest in the 91/59s due to lack of information about why/when they were made. I had a beautiful example with great bore, really nice little rifle but it didnt hold my interest, then again I've come to prefer non refurbs and the battleworn look in my collection.

Re: Rarest & most uncommon Mosin Nagant in your Collection

Mine would probably be my 1911 Izhevsk M-91 barrel in a 1895 Tula receiver, with both logos on the barrel shank along with a Serbian property mark, in a stock with the German Deutches Reich capture mark. It has the Russian eagles pinged out, or it would be a doozy. I have an SA marked 1911 Izhevsk ...

Re: What's you're rarest or oddest mosin?

Recently acquired a 1955 Romanian M91/30 so that definitely takes over as my rarest Mosin. Still cant believe I found one!
